34/365 02/03/10 Ft Worth Stock Show and Rodeo.

Today we went to the Ft. Worth Stock Show and Rodeo. Drew has been so excited for days to go to the "horsie show". He wore his cowboy boots and Brad bought him a hat- which he wore all day!! He was so cute!!

We hadn't planned to go to the rodeo too but some very nice lady gave all of us free tickets!!

He brought his own "horsies" along to see it.......

He was mesmerized...wouldn't even talk the whole first hour. Miles liked it too!

Drew ( energetic Drew) sat 2 hours watching the whole rodeo! After that Big Daddy took him to the animal petting tent......

He had to force him to touch the cute baby goat.....

and he didn't want nothing to do with the rabbit either....BUT when he saw the pony rides he was in!! We didn't think he would sit on the pony much less ride it by himself.. but he did!!

He was so funny riding that pony. He just sat on it like he'd been riding all his life. He held on with only one hand and kind-of leaned back. While the pony was walking he was relaxed, bobbing his head with each step. Big Daddy said he was a "natural" cowboy. He even gave us the "thumbs up".

After that he seemed a little braver...now he wanted to pet a very large steer!!

Miles liked the milking demonstration.....

We had a great time... I loved showing Drew all the animals and watching him have fun!!

33/365 02/02/10 Ready for Spring!!

I am so ready for spring! It has been cold, rainy, foggy, gloomy, and dreary around here for sooo long. I miss the sun...I miss the flowers....I miss the green leaves!! But while in Jacksboro yesterday I saw this little bush starting to bloom with lots of yellow flowers. It was 35 degrees and the day before was 29! It looks like I'm not the only one who can't wait for spring!

32/365 02/01/10 Madie and her first tutu!

Well I've waited all this time to get Madie in a tutu....almost 4 weeks!!! And today was the day....could there be anything any sweeter???

31/365 01/31/10 Big Sister love....

Rachel loves Madie sooooo much! She wants to hold and play with her all the time. I believe that I am watching the beginning of a close, loving, and special relationship between two sisters. I pray that they would be close friends all their lives, that they would laugh together, share secrets and dreams, encourage, accept, and support each other. I am thankful that they have each other.....

30/365 01/30/10 Lazy Day.....

It was a cold and lazy day today. We watched the birds come to our feeders most of the morning. There have been less birds than usual this winter but today we had many. Sometimes there were as many as 7 or 8 on each feeder and more eating off the ground. I was able to get a few good pictures of this female cardinal and even a dove.

I've got to find a doctor closer to Weatherford. I drove over 2 hours to see my doctor. But when you've been going to him for over 32 years (since he delivered my first baby), it's hard to let go. We have a history together. He remembers things about me and my family. It's scary to start over and trust someone else. But I think it's about time to start looking.....

I went to meet the boys to play at Chuck E Cheese today!
