100/365 07/05/09 Hard Working Man!
My hard working man....planted many plants to finish our front flower bed today!! I've been wanting it done for about a year and we just couldn't decide what we wanted to plant--so we just went to Lowe's and picked out some things we liked and Mike planted it all. It was a very hot and hard job but it looks so pretty....and I'm so happy that it's done....

97/365 07/02/09 Hico Bible Study Lunch
Today I went to the FBC in Hico to meet with my old bible study group. This group is made up of several women, most who are older ladies in the 70's, who are so strong in their faith. I did studies with them for 5 or 6 years (before we moved) and they have taught me, inspired me, advised me, prayed for me and I miss them very much. It was great to see them today.96/365 Done!!! Pickles Finished!!
After washing, slicing, soaking in pickling lime overnight, soaking in ice water 3 hours, soaking in the syrup for 5 hours, and then boiling for 45 minutes and putting into hot jars and sealing---we are finished!!! I had a great time learning (although the boiling vinegar mixture smelled up the house and the fumes burned my eyes to tears) but it was well worth it! 95/365 06/30/09 Going to Mom's to Make PIckles!!
Seven pounds of cucumbers bought --ready to go to Mom's to make her (and grandma's) sweet pickles. I have been wanting to do this for 3 or 4 years. I want to learn how to do it and to spend time with Mom.

93/365 06/28/09 Flowers From Drew and Big Daddy!
This afternoon we kept Drew (Brad was out of town and Ashley had to work). Mike took him to Wal-Mart to buy corn dogs for supper and they also picked out a bouquet of flowers for me. It was the sweetest thing....I was out in yard and Drew came out the back door yelling "Nana, Nana!" and here he came with a bouquet of flowers almost as big as he was! The look on his sweet little face was priceless--he was so proud... I loved it!!

I went to Jacksboro today and THIS is what I drove up to--Rachel running to my car....does it get any better than this???
After many many attempts at getting a picture of her where she wasn't under some covers or covering her eyes with anything she could pick up, I think I got a few good ones of her laughing at me. We had so much fun today....she's finally back to her old happy self after having a rough time with her tonsil surgery.
And I tried to take some pics of me and her (while holding out my camera). She was really posing and looking SO cute and I hate all of them of ME!!!! So upset....about that!! It's hard to get her to pose with me......
And I REALLY love this one......... It was a GOOD day!!!

I'm not sure if I'm saying "Yea!! I sold some more bows!" or "Oh no, I might be working more than I thought...." . Today I went to one of my "bow stores" to meet with the owner to finalize an order for some cheerleader or school spirit hair bows. She had mentioned that she wanted several bows in the school colors of the teams in the surrounding towns, as well as her hometown colors. Well she ordered ALOT......which is great and I'm so excited that she likes my work but now I'm thinking hmmmm I think I better get busy, really busy..........Monday, June 22, 2009

First we had breakfast at IHOP, then to Cabela's to check out all the cool animals and fish. 
And then we went for a train ride at the Ft Worth zoo.
After that home for a nap and then to see Tim Hawkins, the comedian, at church.It was a very good day!

85/365 06/20/09 A new baby boy......
I took this picture a couple of days ago and it's so sweet I just had to put it on my blog. Ashley is about 2 months or so from having another wonderful baby boy. It is so awesome and beautiful to see your child carrying a baby....creating life....adding to our family. I remember the sweetness of being pregnant....the wonder of being part of a miracle, having a new little person to love and to be loved by, the joys, the trials, the fears, the excitement, the unknowns of being a mother. It went by so fast....now another generation to love and thank God for.Psalm 108:4 For great is your love, higher than the heavens; your faithfulness reaches to the skies.
