262/365 12/17/09 Rachel's Pre-K Christmas Program

Today was Rachel's Christmas program with her Pre-K class. They recited a little poem about Christmas and sang some songs (Jingle Bells was one of them). They were all so cute....but Rachel was so excited she could hardly stand it. She was smiling and waving at the crowd and throughly enjoying being on the stage. Let's just say she's not shy.....

259/365 12/14/09 Excited Big Sister....

We were at the doctor today for another sonogram to see how baby girl is doing. Praise God....she is growing very well (4lbs. 8oz.), shows NO signs of any problems with growth restriction, and she has made it to 33 weeks!! We also got to see her cute little face and Rachel was so excited to get another picture of her. We are very thankful for prayers answered and are hoping for another couple of weeks....

This is my very best friend for the last 28 years!! We have been together through many many ups and downs in life. We've laughed until we couldn't breathe and cried many tears on each other's shoulders. We've been together having babies and then watching those babies graduate, get married and have babies of their own. We've shared our deepest fears, regrets, secrets, hopes and dreams. I love you Rhonda!!

Rachel and Drew spent the night with us tonight. We went to the Jump Party place, had dinner, and then watched movies. Of course I wanted a photo of them in their cute pajamas but they weren't in the mood. I was interrupting their movie......

We have Rachel here tonight....Jackie and Lance made another trip to the hospital. We thought they might keep Jackie overnight this time but after some medication and monitoring, she went home. Rachel, however, got to spend the night with Nana and Big Daddy!!

252/365 12/07/09 Fredericksburg cont....

Today was a cold, misty, foggy, dreary day. We went to the downtown area of Fredericksburg and shopped a little.

My favorite place in the whole town is the Fredericksburg Bakery. They make pastries that you can't get anywhere else. They have been in business since 1917 and still make the original German recipes......

like this....the sweet German pretzel.....so delicious!!!

We drove around a bit and I took these cool red berry pictures.....

and then we ended up back in our cozy cabin in front of this beautiful fire.

251/365 12/06/09 Fredericksburg TX

We spent a couple of nights in Fredericksburg (Ashley and Brad had given us a gift certificate LAST Christmas!). We stayed here in this old log cabin. It was great!!

250/365 12/05/09 The night the flowers died......

Well the night I had been dreading has come and gone....27 degrees...and these are my now dead elephant ears. Almost all my flowers are gone now, my morning glories, my lantana, my butterfly weed....I even had tomatoes that were almost ripe... It was a very sad site.
