56/365 05/22/09 Little Chicks Hair Bows
I have been hard at work! I've made over 150 bows the last few weeks. I am now selling little girls (or big girls) hair bows. I have 2 stores that are buying from me and hopefully I will add at least 1 more. It is ALOT of time consuming work but I love it! It's so much fun and so me....(anything crafty and involves the colors pink and green!!)
The only problem is that all my spare time is going into these bows with NO time for scrapbooking....and I must get "caught up" on my pictures especially of the grandkids BECAUSE we just found out tonight that ---WE ARE HAVING ANOTHER GRANDBABY!! Our 4th will be arriving sometime in Jan. We are very excited!!! Two on the way...isn't God GOOD?

53/365 05/19/09 A Beautiful Day for a Train Ride
Today was such a perfect sunny cool day. Ashley invited me to go with her to take Drew to ride the train at the Ft. Worth zoo. I've never done that before and it was great. Drew loved it!!
We looked for turtles in the river, birds, and squirrels climbing the trees.
Stopped for a box of popcorn or "corn" as Drew calls it.....

52/365 My first monarch butterfly this spring
This is the first monarch butterfly I've seen on my flowers this spring. I have seen several flying around but none landed for a photo. After taking this picture, I saw that this poor guy has been through alot....part of his wing is torn off and his color is not very good. I think he's had a hard time on his long flight.....but I'm glad I had some flowers that he was looking for......and he had a chance to rest for a little while.....

51/365 05/17/09 Faith as small as a mustard seed...
Thursday my sister, Dee Dee, took me to lunch at Lucille's for a belated birthday celebration. My birthday present was this necklace....very unusual. The square part is filled with mustard seeds....I love it! This really confirmed to me what God has been showing me over and over lately. Faith...and not fear....believing Him. I really want to grow in faith, to be a woman of strong and overflowing faith, and no longer living in fear and worry. "Now faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see" Hebrews 11:1
" I tell you the truth, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, 'Move from here to there' and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you." Matt 17:20

49/365 My NEW CAMERA!!!
Well I can't believe that I got this camera!! My old 20D works just fine but as we plan our trip to Brazil and I found out that there was a "shutter life" on all digital cameras, (40,000-75,000 clicks) I started wondering what if my camera "dies" on our trip?.... I know that I've taken ALOT of photos in the last 3 years. I would be so upset if that happened and I missed taking photos of the birds and wildlife and flowers... So for Mother's Day, my sweet husband said to order this camera..... WOW! I love it!! I'm so excited.....

47/365 05/13/09 Happy Mothers Day Mom!!
Today I went to Hico to take my sweet Mom out to lunch for a late Mother's Day celebration. We went to Texas Trails to get her "favorite" hamburger...(I think every hamburger is her favorite including McDonald's...she just loves hamburgers!). I enjoyed the day spending time with my Mom and Dad....I love you Mom and Happy Mother's Day!!!

42/365 05/08/09 Daddy Daughter Dance
Tonight was the Daddy Daughter Dance hosted by our church. I was blessed to get to go and take pictures. All the little girls were dressed up in their best dresses with sparkly shoes and big bows and jewelry and some had wrist corsages -- just liittle princesses, beautiful! But also the Daddy's were decked out in dress shirts and pants, some even wore jackets and ties. One young man brought his barely 2 year old daughter, dressed to the max and danced every dance with her in his arms. I've never been to a Daddy Daughter dance before and I was totally overwhelmed by the pure love in the eyes of these girls. They looked into their Daddy's eyes and smiled as if there would never be another man who could compare. Even better than that was the way these men loved their precious girls- dressing up and even leaving on their jackets and ties all night (and it was HOT in the gym where it was held), dancing to many silly dance songs with a huge smile, laughing and treating their girls like this was the best time they had ever had. It really was a special night for me to just try to capture the moment as best I could and to watch and enjoy........

41/365 05/07/09 Teen Challenge Banquet
Tonight we attended the Teen Challenge fundraising banquet. Teen Challenge is a ministry to help people who are addicted to alcohol and drugs. It is a faith based rehab that lasts 13 months and is very successful. Many young men gave their testimonies about how Teen Challenge (and Jesus) had helped them become free from their addiction. We really had a good time with lots of New River friends, including Clarence.
And they had a silent aution as their fund raiser and Mike bid on DANCE LESSONS and we won them! Yea 4 private dance lessons of any kind we want.......Fun......

40/365 05/06/09 I can balance!
I took Rachel back to Mommy and Daddy today. We had a good day of going to Chick Ole (Chick- Fil-A) with Drew and Ashley, playing with Drew for a little while, (upset that I forgot to take pictures of them together), watching movies, coloring, and running errands.....Love my time with her, always goes by so fast....

39/365 05/05/09 Day with My Girl and another attempted flower photo shoot.....
Today I picked Rachel up and on the way to Ft Worth, I thought (still loving the idea of a great photo in the wildflowers while remembering the bluebonnet attempt from a couple of weeks ago with Drew). These pink wildflowers were just made to match the dress she had on, perfect!! Well the same thing happen with her........
Even though it was completely cloudly, "the sun was too bright"-
She just couldn't look.....
And like Drew here's her "best" smile!!
I did get this one and a couple of others that are really sweet and I like. I still had fun and somehow the memory of the wildflower pictures that didn't go as planned is better than if they did. My sweet grandkids....I love them so much..
After a trip to Ft. Worth to Hobby Lobby and then to Barnes and Noble to look and pick out a book, she was exhausted. She had also eaten almost a whole bag of funyuns.....and this family and funyuns go way back.........
