Trip to the Holy Land...

We had the opportunity of a lifetime to go to the Holy Land with our church. There were 21 of us traveling together. After flying to Atlanta, we boarded the plane for a 12 1/2 hour flight to Tel Aviv and then on to Jerusalem. We stayed 5 nights in Jerusalem and 3 nights in Tiberius on the Sea of Galilee. We visited so many biblical sites and I'm still processing all we saw and learned. At times it was overwhelming to think that we were walking in the same places that Jesus walked or taught. One of my favorite things we did was to be baptized in the Jordan River. It was especially emotional to visit the place of his crucifixion and burial. But He is not in the tomb....He is risen! I took many, many pictures but want to share some of my favorites. I have organized them in chronological order of how we saw them. Each day was filled with many places.

Loaded up and headed to the airport

Our flight left at 10:15p.m. from Atlanta. We flew all night and with the time zone changes we arrived in Tel Aviv at 5:00 p.m. the next day!
