I'm a little behind on my blog posts -like almost a week! I've been very busy taking photos of lots of awesome people and really haven't taken anything else to post. So here's a little peak at what I've been doing........

108/365 04/23/10 Prom Season...

I haven't attended a prom since my daughter was a senior in high school 10 years ago. When my kids were in high school I was very involved in their proms. I loved the decorating, the shopping, and the excitement leading up to the "big event". And I guess I didn't realize how much I missed it until I was asked by a good friend to take pictures. I had such a good time. The kids were so excited, so young and full of life...all dressed up, looking so pretty and handsome. It was a so much fun watching them and remembering.......I miss those days.....

107/365 04/22/10 Madie and Rachel and Bluebonnets....

Madie is now 3 1/2 months old and she is growing fast. She has changed every time I see her. She is smiling and laughing now and has all kinds of facial expressions. And today she didn't cry when I held her! She snuggled with me and smiled at me! I was so happy....

Look at those eyelashes....wow they are long...

And she LOVES her softie!


Jackie dressed the girls in matching sundress and we headed out to a pretty patch of bluebonnets. I was so excited. (I always dream about pictures in the flowers.) Rachel did really good. She sat right down in the flowers with hardly any coaxing. Next step- hold Madie. And #3- look at the camera and smile. #4 - hold Madie upright and remember she's only 3 months old and doesn't particulary like bluebonnet stems between her toes. I think they did great and look so sweet. I love them!! Thanks Jackie, it was a great day for me!

106/365 04/21/10 A day at the zoo...

Today I went to the Ft Worth Zoo with Ashley, her friend Lindsey, Drew and Miles. It was a beautiful day and lots and lots of people had the same idea. It was packed. The boys rode in the double stroller and they were so good. Miles just smiled alot, then took a nap, woke up, had a snack, and smiled some more. He is such a good and happy baby.

Of course, Drew just couldn't stand not being able to climb up on the fences to see the animals. He said his favorites were the zebras and the centipede!


He showed me how to roar like a lion.....

My favorite thing to do is feed the parakeets with a stick covered in bird seed. Drew liked feeding them too.

Both boys liked looking at the gorillas. It was a fun day and I'm so glad that I got to go too!!

105/365 04/20/10 Being Creative...

I just finished another order of these crazy hair bows. I love making them though. Using all the colorful ribbons, tulle, feathers, the rhinestones. It's really out of the box for me and I love that. I've always had to have things perfect and matching but with these I can just be creative and free!

I have my tomatoes planted.....

and my roses are starting to bloom.....

and the morning glory seeds are sprouting.... I love spring!!

I had to postpone my senior photo shoot because of the rain.....and I'm dying to use my new lens........

103/365 04/15-17/10 Pink Impact

I went to a women's conference at Gateway Church called Pink Impact. I stayed in a room with these 3 beautiful women. We worship together, prayed together, listened to awesome speakers and teachers (as well as shopped, laughed, ate too much and stayed up too late). We had a wonderful 3 days. I pray that God will continue to work in me the truths that I learned and that He will transform me into the woman He created me to be....."beyond all I could ask or imagine according to His power that is at work in me".....

102/365 04/14/10 A Really Good Day!

Today was a VERY good day! I was going to rent this lens for a photo shoot this weekend. Instead my sweet, generous husband insisted that I just buy it! I wasn't sure about doing that but how could I resist?

It is awesome!!

Since I couldn't find anyone to be my test subject, I just took some photos around the house. Looks pretty good to me!!

101/365 04/13/10 Happy Birthday sweet Drew!

Today is Drew's 3rd birthday! And just like Rachel, this little boy changed my life for the better 3 years ago. He is FULL of life and adventure. There's never a dull moment for Drew. He often opens my eyes to new things in this life that I would have never experienced without a grandson. So I am thankful that 3 years ago today God blessed me with Drew, my first grandson, a happy, sweet, fun-loving boy! Happy Birthday Drew!!

The family came over for a late Easter celebration. We had steaks, hunted Easter eggs, and just hard a fun time together.

And I have been wanting to try one of those jumping photos so I got one......or two....or so..........
